Sarah Kelly Hansen is a visual artist based in Milwaukee. Hansen holds a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), where she also teaches as an Adjunct Instructor. She has continued her artistic development through the Milan Mastery Program.
Working in oil and mixed media, Hansen creates paintings that connect the ephemeral nature of flowers to our place in the universe. She builds layered surfaces that hold ambiguity and rewards sustained looking. The work invites curiosity and reflection, echoing the experience of looking into the universe.
